A tid bit about me...

Maybe you wonder, or maybe you don’t but thought I would share a little bit about ME and how Tara's Cozy Creations came to be!

Before all of this, I taught in the classroom for nearly eight years. During this time, I started my own little family too and I am now the proud mother of four amazing little children!

The inspiration behind my shop was preparing for the arrival of my first child. I was thrilled that I could make 'almost' everything I needed for him/her. It wasn't long before others started asking me to make items for them too.  I joined the world of Etsy and created a facebook group to start selling my products. Over a few short years my products became more popular and I was able to expand my products and fabric collections to what you see today. I became way too busy to teach and do this at night time and on the weekends, so I made the decision to continue with this full-time. I was sad to say good-by to the classroom, but I knew this is where I want to be at this time in my life, especially when my kids are still little.

What was the inspiration behind this hobby? (Ha! This really was supposed to be JUST a hobby, you know!!)

My mother and granny have been a huge inspiration to me ever since I was a little girl. They were always sewing, knitting and crocheting all sorts of items, and as soon as I could convince them to teach me, I was creating many different items as young as five years old. My mother had a sewing and quilting business for as long as I can remember and still does today. She is one of the most talented textile artists I know- so proud to be her daughter!! I can't wait to buy my girls sewing machines one day when they get bigger.

As I am sure you can tell, I am passionate about what I do. I simply LOVE creating and I put so much love and care into everything I create or work towards in my life.

I truly care that you are satisfied with your order. I love knowing that my blankets are some of the most important securities to babies and children all over the world; of course second to their mommies! I have made thousands of cozy creations and the exciting part of my business is that there will always be more babies being born, babies outgrowing their newborn blankets and moms finally deciding to spoil themselves with a very deserving cozy. Tara's Cozy Creations wouldn't be here today without ALL of you! So thanks! And hope to make many more thousand blankets to keep spreading the love and warmth around.
